JH Teknik was founded in 1983, after the first experiments with diver phones back in 1977.
The Idea The idea behind starting the company was to develop and produce diver phones of a high standard and stable quality for the professional diving industry. Working as a professional diver, I was often confronted with unreliable equipment.
Communication Systems The company's first products were waterproof microphones, which soon were extended to include a connector and two ear phones, and went under the name "Combi II". The quality of our products speaks for itself, as the first products still are in use by professional divers today. Since the start of the company, the products have continuously undergone the changes that today's technology requires, so that we can continue to produce up-to-date products. The company has in addition to this, extended the product range so that it today comprises complete digital video / audio systems, which meet all the demands of the professional diving industry.
"Bailout" Systems Besides developing communication systems, JH Teknik has since 1989, specialized in putting together "bailout" systems, given rise to by a diving assignment in Greenland, where the use of an inappropriately put-together diving equipment, nearly went wrong. The systems, which are built to order, start as standard units and are improved and complemented with the company's own products, to create diving equipment that is safe, functional and robust at considerable prices.
Some users of the JH Teknik Diver Phones: The Danish Navy, the Norwegian Navy, the Norwegian Rescue Services, the Swedish Marine, Falck in Denmark, the Swedish Rescue Services, the Swedish Coast Guard, Scamp in Gibraltar and over 250 diving companies in Norway, Denmark, Sweden, England, Germany, Russia, the Ukraine, Lithuania, Greenland, the Faroe Islands, Iceland, Belgium, Holland, Spain, Italy, Greece, Thailand, Chile and Nigeria.
